Summer Nails Through the Years: 2019
We’re back with the next post in our “through the years” series of summer nail art! If you missed last week’s post, we looked at some of my favorite manis from the summer of 2018, and this week we’re moving on to 2019! And happy National Nail Polish Day! I hope you have a lovely day of celebrating. 🎉💅🏻
Since this year, in 2023, we’re celebrating over SIX YEARS of threesixtynails, I wanted to go back in time and share a few of my favorite summer nail designs from each of those six years. So, even though some of the photo quality may not be the greatest from years past (yikes, sorry, haha), I hope that these posts will give you some mani inspiration for our current summer season. And, if you’ve been around here for a long time, maybe it’ll even be a trip down memory lane for you. :)
2019 was yet another year where I didn’t post very much throughout the summer, but I still found a few cute manis to look back on. Let’s get into it!
1. Adorable Floral Nails
From May 8th, 2019
This cheerful mani is sure to add some pizzazz to a summer day!
This mani was actually part of a spring collab from 2019, but I think it’s lovely for summer too. First of all, I adore these colors! Second, floral nail art is a favorite of mine and it’s such a customizable idea for whatever you’d like to wear.
2. “Fun in the Sun” Mani
From May 14th, 2019
Easy and eye-catching!
This one is super simple and pretty much one-step. In this pic, (long nails, whoa, haha) I’m wearing a very sparkly holographic polish and it looks amazing in the sun. So this idea is basically that! It doesn’t have to be holo, but choose a polish that you LOVE staring it in the sun. It could be shimmer, glitter, multichrome—whatever you have and makes you smile. :) You could even combine a few polishes if you’re feeling it!
3. Seasonal Bloom Nail Art
From April 30th, 2019
Nails inspired by the outdoors to take your favorite florals with you everywhere.
Okay, this one is kind of cheating since it wasn’t quite May yet (when Summer mostly starts in my world) lol, but I wanted to include it because it’s a favorite of mine. Of course, you could re-create this mani, or you could choose another favorite flower, maybe one you’ve seen blooming lately or something in your garden if you have one. Lots of fun!
I really enjoyed sharing more of these throwback manis with you! I remember that my nails were pretty long for most of that summer so that’s always fun for creating cute nail designs.
