Summer Nails Through the Years: 2021
We’re back with the final post in our “through the years” series of summer nail art! If you missed last week’s post, we looked at some of my favorite manis from the summer of 2020, and this week we’re moving on to 2021!
Since this year, in 2023, we’re celebrating over SIX YEARS of threesixtynails, I wanted to go back in time and share a few of my favorite summer nail designs from each of those six years. So, even though some of the photo quality may not be the greatest from years past (yikes, sorry, haha), I hope that these posts will give you some mani inspiration for our current summer season. And, if you’ve been around here for a long time, maybe it’ll even be a trip down memory lane for you. :)
I had SO much fun with nail art during this summer, so without further ado, let’s get into it!
1. Minimal Rose Nails
This is one of my all-time favorite manis! I adore these colors together and this design is super easy to put together. By dabbing two polish colors onto a piece of paper and swirling them slightly, you can then use a dotting tool or bobby pin to pick up a pretty swirl of colors to create this lovely rose effect.
2. Elegant Daisy Mani
This nail design is from a mani swap I did with Julia from @nailsbyj03 over on Instagram and I just LOVE this one too! I think this is such a pretty green, so perfect for a transition from spring to summer. I think pattern nails are really fun for any season, so this would be a fun one to customize.
3. Fun Peach Nail Art
I actually bought my first peaches of the season earlier this week, so this mani is extra sweet right now. You could easily adjust this design to fit your favorite fruit, so just get creative!
4. Aesthetic Strawberry Nails
I feel like this cute strawberry pattern is always very “in” for spring and summer but it was a particular favorite of mine during this 2021 summer. Around this time, one of my summer bullet journal setups was strawberry/picnic-themed, I painted two pottery pieces in this pattern, and I put together a little strawberry patch on my Animal Crossing New Horizons island. So this design brings back a lot of good memories! :)
5. Cute Lemon Mani
This one is really easy since all you need is a fun, bright-yellow mani and some dabs of green polish to add the leaves. So simple and eye-catching!
I really enjoyed sharing more of these nostalgic manis with you! This was such a joyful period of content creation for me, so it was a lot of fun to look back at it today.
Which of these summer nail designs is your favorite? Comment below!
I’ll be sharing our very last round of summer manis from 2022 next week, so stay tuned! Thank you, as always, for all of your kindness and support through the years. I hope you enjoyed this recap! :)
