I finally did my nails! lol - Minimal & Cute Valentine’s Day Nails
It’s been quite the toasty minute since I’ve done my nails but today, I finally, FINALLY have some new nail art to share with you. So let’s enjoy a good old-fashioned nail art blog post together. :)
This mani is a re-creation of a beautiful design by @michellevglimmerandglow over on Instagram. You can check out our mani swap collage below and visit the post to read more about our designs! I think Michelle’s turned out SO gorgeous!! 😍
Alrighty, here’s some more quick info on how to re-create this design yourself!
You will need…
Base and top coat
Neutral-pink nail polish
Red nail polish
A dotting tool, bobby pin, or toothpick
To create this design…
Step 1: After base coat, apply two coats of your neutral-pink polish to all of your nails. Let dry for 2-5 minutes; this time will vary based on the thickness of your coats.
Step 2: Dab some red polish onto a separate piece of paper. Using your dotting tool, bobby pin, or toothpick, pick up some red polish and create two large dots (make sure they’re touching) near your cuticle.
Step 3: While the polish is still wet, use that same tool very gently to drag the two dots into a heart shape; you’re basically adding a little point at the end and smoothing out the sides.
Step 4: Repeat Steps 2 and 3 on all nails until you have a tiny heart on each nail. Let dry for 3-7 minutes.
Step 5: Once you’re positive your hearts are dry, apply top coat to all of your nails. Make sure to gently float the brush over your nail to help prevent smearing. Let dry fully and your adorable mani is complete!
I hope you enjoyed this simple ‘lil blog post. It was so lovely to put together. :) And keep an eye out for this mani in a YouTube video very soon!
