Collabs collide! - Groovy Floral Nails

I’ve got another fun ‘lil nail design to share with you! It’s been so much fun to be sharing content again. :)

This mani is a re-creation of a gorgeous design by @nails.for.normals over on Instagram. You can check out our mani swap collage below and visit the post to read more about our designs! This flower mani made me think of this verse because God’s love is ALWAYS in bloom with His brand new mercies with each sunrise. He is faithful and He loves you!

Okay, here’s some more quick info on how to re-create this design yourself!


You will need…

  • Base and top coat

  • Brown nail polish

  • Orange nail polish

  • Light orange/yellow-orange nail polish

  • Maroon nail polish

  • A dotting tool (various sizes for ease), bobby pin, or toothpick


To create this design…

Step 1: After base coat, apply two coats of your orange polish to your index nail, two coats of your brown polish to your middle and ring nails, two coats of your yellow-orange polish to your pinky nail, and two coats of your maroon polish to your thumbnail. Let dry for 2-5 minutes; this time will vary based on the thickness of your coats.

Step 2: Dab some yellow-orange polish onto a separate piece of paper. Using your a large dotting tool or a bobby pin (a toothpick might be a bit too small for this step) pick up some yellow-orange polish and create five large dots (this will be the start of your flower) anywhere on your middle and ring nails; leave room for a second set of dots and repeat, preferably toward one edge of your nail to create a pattern effect. Let dry for 1-3 minutes.

Step 3: Still on your middle and ring nails, add a smaller regular orange dot to create the centers of your flowers and then add small clusters of tiny dots to fill space. Let dry 1-2 minutes.

Step 4: Add one more tiny dot of maroon to the center of your flowers, small enough that a ring of orange can still be seen. Let dry 2-4 minutes.

Step 5: Once you’re positive your flowers are dry, apply top coat to all of your nails. Make sure to gently float the brush over your nail to help prevent smearing. Let dry fully and your groovy mani is complete!
