Cute & Easy St. Patrick’s Day Nail Art
Hi, Polished People! Wow, it feels like I haven’t blogged in forever. Obviously, if you’ve explored my channel, seen my Instagram posts, or watched my latest YouTube videos, you’d know a lot has been changing around here. If you haven’t already visited my “Less-Toxic” page or watched my explanation YouTube video, you can click either of these links to catch up.
Along with everything else, here I am on a brand-new website! It was a huge task to move everything over, but I’m enjoying getting to know this new platform. Unfortunately, when I was migrating my blog content, a lot of the photos didn’t transfer, so I spent about two weeks going through all 300+ of my blog posts and re-adding all the images. It was a lot of work and definitely not fun, however, it was amazing to look back at literally every single blog posts I’ve created since 2017. In doing so, I got reacquainted with my roots and saw what I actually used to do here on the blog; nail art tutorials, products of the week, etc.
I remembered how much I enjoyed putting all of those blog posts together and how much I miss it. I feel so inspired to be blogging again, so I’d definitely like to move back to some old-school nail art posts…like the one I’m sharing today!
So, today, I’m sharing some pics of my recent St. Patrick’s Day mani, as well as a list of the products I used to create it, and a short step-by-step in case you’d like to re-create the design. Here’s my mani…
I had so much fun putting this simple mani together. I couldn’t even tell you the last time I sat down to create nail art just for the sake of creating it. This was very therapeutic and fun to do. I love holiday-themed nails! Okay, now onto the product list (with Amazon aff. links) and step-by-step. Enjoy!
Products used in this mani:
“Celebri-tree” by China Glaze (link to mini set)
“Obvi” by Olive & June (use my ref. link for $10 off your first order of $50: http://fbuy.me/v/threesixtynails)
(!) Polishes in this post contain Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide, and Trimethyl Pentanyl Diisobutyrate. Please visit my Journey to “Less-Toxic” Nail Polish page to learn more.
Nail art tutorial:
Step 1: After base coat, apply two coats of any light-green polish to all your nails. Let dry 2-5 minutes between coats.
Step 2: Choose 3-4 other St. Patrick’s Day-appropriate polishes, such as other shades of green or gold. Experiment with different finishes!
Step 3: Once your base color is fully dry, using a detailing nail art brush, dotting tool, or toothpick, create small stripes of your first accent color, coming down from your cuticle. You can make these as long or short as you like; various sizes will give the design more interest.
Step 4: Repeat Step 3 with your other accent colors until your nail is full.
Step 5: After letting your stripes dry for 2-7 minutes, apply top coat to protect your design. Let this dry fully and your mani is complete!
I had so much fun putting this blog post together. It felt so good to get back to the basics of my blog. I hope you enjoyed this post too!
I will definitely be doing more of these in the future, hopefully several times per month. Let me know in the comments if there are any specific designs you’d like to see posts for!
As always, thank you so much for your continued readership and support. Happy belated St. Patrick’s Day!! 🍀✨
Have a polished rest of your day,
