3 Types of Mindful Nail Art

Hi, Polished People! I hope you're having a wonderful day. Ever wonder what type of nail art is best for a mindful manicure session? Truly, any type of nail art or nail painting is great for this, as well as self-care. However, if you're stuck for ideas or just can't choose, here are three of my favorite types of mindful nail art. Let's get to it!

1. Freehand / Handpainted Nail Art

Ever since I first discovered this type of nail art several years ago, it's been one of my favorites. If you've been doing nail art for a while, there are so many detailed designs you could re-create or come up with. And even if you're just starting out, grabbing a nail art brush or toothpick and some acrylic paint to create some simple designs on top of your mani is great too. Painting on your ten tiny canvases is always a wonderful way to unwind.

2. Dotticure

All you'll need for this one is a dotting tool, toothpick, or bobby pin and a couple polish colors. You can get as detailed as you want and there are so many great tutorials for manicures like this! Pointillism on your nails? Yes, please!

3. Drybrush

This is such a fun technique and it's so easy! After you've painted your base color(s) on your nails, choose another color or two and wipe off most of the polish on the brush on a paper towel. Proceed to swipe on distressed strokes of color in various directions and, presto, you've got a super unique mani. Mix up the finishes for an even more interesting look!

I hope you found some inspiration here! If you'd like to learn even more tips for adding mindfulness to painting your nails, you can read this blog post about that very thing by clicking right here.
