Top 5 Go-To Lipsticks | Collab w/ Beautymone

Hi, Polished People! Today's post is a collab with Simone from Beautymone Blog and we're sharing our top five go-to lipsticks. I haven't done a blog collab like this in so long, so I'm really looking forward to it. Be sure you check out Simone's fabulous blog and see her post as well; here's the link: https://beautymone.com/. Now let's get started...

The first lipstick I'll be showing you is my go-to red, "Love is On" by Revlon. Everyone has a go-to red in their collection, right? This one has served me so well for so many years. The first time I wore this one, I was on the hunt for an onstage-red lip and I randomly grabbed this one at the drugstore. This has a great formula, it's really flattering, and stays on pretty well. Highly recommend! Here's a link if you need: https://amzn.to/2MTTo5l

Next up is "Pour Toujours" by NARS, a gorgeous matte lipstick. I discovered this one on my birthday last year and it is just so flattering. NARS describes this as a matte warm pink, but I would say it's more of a creamy rosy-toned neutral. This one lasts pretty well too, though I haven't worn it in quite a while, so I don't remember exactly. I wore it all day on my birthday though and only reapplied once, so I think it was pretty good! This next one was part of my makeup routine all winter long; this is the classic and popular lippie, "Pillow Talk" by Charlotte Tilbury. I absolutely love the color of this one. It's quite similar in shade to the last one, but it has more of an orange-y tone and it's a little more brown. It's super flattering on my skin tone, so if you have fair/pale skin like me this would be a great option. The wear-time is pretty good, too. I love a neutral lipstick like this and it's been my go-to since Christmas. Here's a link if you like: https://amzn.to/2XY5m3Z

Finally, I have two lip glosses to share with you. This one is "Pink Sorbet" by Neutrogena and it's from their Hydro Boost line. When I'm stuck for ideas on what lip to wear, this one is usually what I choose. I like wearing this one when I'm not in the mood for a solid lip color and am in need of some hydration. It's really flattering, glossy, and cute. As expected, since it's a gloss, it doesn't last all day, but it stays on for quite a while. Here's a link if you need: https://amzn.to/3fiRCGU

Our last one for today is "Create Change" by Mary Kay (from their Nourishine Plus line). This is such a fun one! As you can see, this one has two lip gloss colors swirled inside the tube, so each time you put it on, you never really know what you're gonna get. It morphs from a berry gloss to a peachy shine each time you use it. This one is super unique and a nice surprise every time. Nice formula, too! Again, doesn't last forever, but it's pretty good. So, that's all for my top five go-to lipsticks! I think my two favorites might be "Pillow Talk" and "Love is On." Do you have any go-to faves in your lippie collection? Let me know in the comments.
