Ascendance Trilogy Nail Art ~ Feature on New York Times Best-Selling Author Blog??!! π± π ~ threesixtynails Pop Culture Series
Good evening, everyone! I am so excited for today's nail art. I've been wanting to create it since January, and I finally found time to do so. In today's post, I'm sharing my fan nail art for the best-selling Ascendance Trilogy by Jennifer A. Nielsen, an AMAZING novel and my favorite books of all time. π And guess what?! The wonderful author, Jennifer, was so kind to feature my manicure on her blog!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much, Jennifer!! β€οΈ
You can read the blog post, see my featured nail art, and the other fantastic fan art at this link right here.
Okay, now onto the nail art! I've created a fun video tutorial (up on YouTube and below) to show you how to re-create this design at home. The list of polishes and tools I used are below (you can substitute some of them for acrylic paint if you like) and the video is below that. Enjoy!
Polishes/Tools used to create this design:
"Indigo Waters" - whim. *link unvailable
"Best Ponies Forever" - China Glaze
"Don't Take Yosemite for Granite" - OPI
"Strobe Light" - Sally Hansen (Xtreme Wear)
or Toothpick
Dotting Tool or Toothpick(It helps to have the book covers in front of you to re-create the designs, or you can use images. If you're interested in purchasing the books, you can find them below.)
Ascendance Trilogy: The False Prince
I had such a great time designing these nails! I actually found the three polishes way back in January; I bought them specifically for this nail art. I went to Ulta, brought the books with me, and scouted 'til I found the PERFECT polishes. :) Which book (and/or nail design) from this series was your favorite? Comment below! And if you haven't read these yet, I HIGHLY recommend them, infinite plus!
Before I finish off this post, I wanted to mention something really cool. If you're familiar with Zoya nail polish, you know that all of their polishes have names. Well, I saw two named "Imogen" and "Sage"!!! You can check out this sweet duo by clicking the images below:
