Trying Huella Beauty Nail Polish for the First Time

Especially since my “less-toxic” shift earlier this year, it’s been challenging to try new-to-me brands since a lot of them contain ingredients I personally am not a fan of. However, recently, I got to try some polishes from the brand Huella Beauty and I’m excited to announce that I am now a Huella Beauty affiliate! I have lots to share about these polishes, so let’s get right into it.

(!) Polishes in the post contain/may contain: Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Aluminum Powder, and Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide. Please visit my Journey to “Less-Toxic” Nail Polish page to learn more.

**This post is not sponsored. All opinions are my own. These polishes were gifted to me. I will receive a small commission from any sales made through my affiliate link but at no additional charge to you. Thank you for your support!**

A few deets about Huella first of all. Here’s their ingredients list for your perusal…

Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Phthalic Anhydride / Trimellitic Anhydride / Glycols Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Adipic Acid / Fumaric Acid / Phthalic Acid / Tricyclodecane Dimethanol Copolymer, Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate, Citric Acid

May Contain: (+/-) : Aluminum Powder (CI 77000), Iron Oxides (CI 77499 / CI 77491), Red 34 Lake (CI 15880), Red 6 Lake (CI 15850), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Mica (CI 77019), Blue 1 (CI 42090), Yellow 11 (CI 47000), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Violet 2 (CI 60725)

One of the biggest things about Huella that got my attention was the fact that they don’t include Benzophenone-1 in their polishes, which is personally very high on my list of polish ingredients to avoid. Of course, as I always say, I encourage you to do your own research on polishes before purchasing, so I hope this information is helpful to you. And as always, if you need somewhere to start, please check out my “less-toxic” page for more resources.

I’ve got three polishes to show you today! I’ll also be including affiliate links for your convenience and a special discount code just for you if you’d like to give Huella Beauty a try too. Here’s the first polish…

Here we have “Sweetwater,” a color that Huella Beauty describes as a pastel aqua blue. I love the shade of this one; it’s so eye-catching and refreshing. This polish is so great for a variety of seasons, whether you’re going for a summer mermaid vibe or a beautiful background for a winter snow design.

This polish applies nicely in two to three coats, depending on your application and nail length. This is two coats on my short nails and it was a tiny bit patchy still, so next time I’d do thinner coats and wait longer for it to dry. (P.S. As with all lovely pigmented polishes, make sure you double up on base coat to avoid staining.)

I’ve already used this one in a nail design that you’ll see here on the blog soon and it’s quickly becoming one of my new favorite shades!

If you’re a fan of this one too, then *click my aff. link right here to get yours. You can also use my code “threesixtynails” for 10% off!

Next up is “Omorfiá,” a color that Huella Beauty describes as a shimmery bright purple. This one has such a nice fuchsia/plum hue to it, I really like how sparkly and glam it is. This one is actually a really nice dupe for a few OPI polishes I’m not using anymore, so that makes me really happy too!

This polish applies nicely in two coats, depending on your application and nail length; it was so close to being a one-coater, actually. (P.S. Once again, as with all lovely pigmented polishes, make sure you double up on base coat to avoid staining.)

I’m very excited to wear this one throughout the winter! It’s so deep and dimensional and fun to look at.

It’s so hard to choose a favorite of the three, but this last one might just be. Our final polish for today is “Restore My Soul,” a color that Huella Beauty describes as a shimmery classic red. Especially since I’ve been in Christmas-mode for the better part of two months, this one is just calling my name right now. I love a good, bright, gorgeous red and this one is so much fun.

This polish applies nicely in two coats, depending on your application and nail length; you may need an extra coat for opacity if your nails are very long since this one has a more see-through formula for the shimmer. (P.S. Once again, as with all lovely reds, make sure you double up on base coat to avoid staining.)

I’ve got a cute nail design with this one coming soon as well, so keep your eyes peeled!

Have a polished rest of your day,
