Simple & Cute Chevron Mani

I’ve been needing to paint my nails more often for special occasions lately, so here’s another simple and cute mani I put together recently.

My lines came out a bit shaky because I was using a not-so-great nail art brush (I got a new one recently, don’t worry!) but I’m still super happy with this polish combo. I’d highly recommend using a striper nail art brush or chevron nail guide stickers like these from KISS to create this design! However, it is pretty easy to do and it’s a great option if you’re short on time or would like to spice up a plain mani.

As usual, below you’ll find a product list for this one featuring any Amazon aff. links I could find, as well as a quick step-by-step tutorial for you. I hope you enjoy!

Products used in this mani

  • “Set the Pace” by Nailtopia

  • “IRL” by Essie [Expressie]

(!) Polishes in this post contain Acetyl Tributyl Citrate and Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide. Please visit my Journey to “Less-Toxic” Nail Polish page to learn more.

Nail art tutorial:

Step 1: After base coat, apply two coats of your base color of choice to all of your nails. Let all your nails dry for 2-5 minutes between coats and then 2-5 minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step 2: Once your base color is fully dry, choose another color to add your chevron accents. Using a striper brush, draw a diagonal line coming up from the center of your ring nail, making a triangle shape at the corner. Repeat on the other side.

Step 3: Repeat Step 2 on your thumb nail.

Step 4: After letting all of your nails dry for 2-7 minutes, apply top coat to protect your pretty design. Let this dry fully and your mani is complete!

I really liked wearing this mani; it’s so ethereal and sweet. If you give this mani a try, then definitely share on your Instagram with #tsninspo so I can see and share it with our community. Seeing your beautiful manis is always such a joy!
