Olive & June April Showers Swatch & Review

Hi Polished People! Since I recently shared this cute collection over on my YouTube channel, so I wanted to share it here too! I had so much fun swatching these and putting the video together. Here it is if you haven’t seen it yet…

This is one of my favorite videos I’ve made in a while, so I hope you enjoyed it!

So, now, onto the swatch pics!

First up is “Cloudy Skies.” Olive & June describes this one as a “misty grey.” I agree; if a gray can be pastel, then this is it! It’s very pale with almost a hint of taupe. Like all the polishes in this collection, this shade would be beautiful on a variety of skin tones. Shown here in two coats.

Next is “Rainy Day Walk” and Olive & June describes this one as a neutral concrete. Yes, it is much more neutral-toned than just straight gray; a little bit more taupe-toned than the last one and a little more medium-toned. Really nice opacity, it’s shown here in two coats.

Now we have “Scattered Showers,” which Olive & June describes as a dark steel. This beautiful, saturated, dark concrete color is so unique and, even though its’ neutral, it is a really nice minimal statement color. Super opaque! Shown here in two coats.

And finally, here’s “100% Chance.” Olive & June describes this one as a gunmetal blue. I couldn’t think of a perfect way to describe this one until I saw that description! It is a very blue-toned dark gray. It’s so unique; I don’t have anything else like this in my collection. Again, super opaque! Shown here in two coats.

I really like this little between-seasons quartet! The names are so cute; any of these would be the perfect shade to accompany a cozy, rainy day. Two questions for today: Are you a fan of rainy days? And, how to you spell it, “grey” or “gray,” usually?

Sending you good vibes today and always. 💛

Have a polished rest of your day,

- Cali G.
