My Nail Polish Decluttering Journey

Check out my brand new YouTube video where I’m chatting about my nail polish decluttering journey, from how many polishes I got rid of to how long the process took for me!

As promised in the video, here are a few extra tips! These relate to my actual decluttering sessions and tips for how to make yours successful and enjoyable. I hope these are helpful to you!

Decluttering session tips:

  • Listen to music you love while you work! When I wasn’t recording my decluttering for a video, I always enjoyed putting on my favorite playlist or a new-to-me country album to help pass the time. Going through a bunch of polishes can be tedious, so having something to enjoy or sing along with really helps.

  • Setting a time limit or polish limit is a big help if you have a large collection to go through. Set a timer for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and hour—whatever you prefer. You could also choose a limited amount of polishes to help with this.

  • Try focusing on just one ingredient per session if that’s helpful to you. For example, maybe this round, you’re just looking to see if any of your polishes contain formaldehyde, then another day you could see if any contain camphor, etc.

Subscribe to my YouTube channel for a new video every Friday! You can also grab your very own 10-page “less-toxic” journey planner for free right here.

Have a polished rest of your day and I’m wishing you all the best on your journey,
