Good morning, Emily! I’m so happy to have you here on our digital talk show. Here’s a virtual armchair and a virtual mug. Let’s get started with some biz questions.When did you first decide/realize you wanted to be a blogger?

I’ve always loved to write and had lots of creative hobbies, so I think as soon as I realized blogging was a thing, I knew it was something I wanted to try.

Awesome! What inspired you to start this business?

Iwas looking for something creative that was just for me, something I truly enjoyed and had as a hobby, so it felt like the right time to start my own blog.

That's great. What’s the story behind the name of your blog?

My last name is Pepper, and I wanted to write about my thoughts (product reviews, nail art, coffee flavours) so it came to me pretty easily to come up with Pep Thoughts!

That's so cool! What’s your favorite blog post/piece of content you’ve ever created?

A long time ago, I blogged elsewhere and wrote an article about my favourite lipstick shades and I still think about that article now. I loved the photos and the products so much!

Sounds great. What are your favorite things about your brand?

I’m still trying to find my brand, so I don’t quite know yet!

Absolutely, building a brand is a constant and fun journey. Have you always been in the blogging industry?

I have written on many different sites over the past seven years, between small projects, internships, etc.

That's so interesting! What was the biggest milestone in your entrepreneurship/blogging journey?

Right now, every step is a milestone, but I definitely remember one day with super high views that was a big accomplishment for me!

Great answer! Let's move on to some more personal questions. What’s your favorite color to wear on your nails?

So hard to pick! I love darker glittery shades, like black holo, deep pinks and reds, or even glittery blues.

Yes, always good choices. What is your favorite nail art trend right now?

My favorite trend now and always is stamping!

Good one. What is your favorite thing you get to do as a blogger?

I love getting to connect with so many others who share my hobbies and passions! I never knew so many people like nail polish as much as I do!

I know; the nail community is awesome. If you had to choose one nail polish, makeup product, or K-Cup to be stranded on an island with, what would it be?

Also so hard! I think I would pick nail polish because I could paint again and again, do designs, etc. It would probably be a super sparkly holo!

Good choices! What is your favorite thing about being an entrepreneur/blogger?

I’m still working on the entrepreneurial side of blogging but I’m enjoying learning and building my blog and brand right now.

Very cool. What advice would you give to someone who’s interested in starting a blog like this or becoming a nail artist?

I would tell them to just enjoy the process! It’s not going to happen overnight and it will be a whole new journey so just take it slow and enjoy it and make sure it’s still something you are happy doing. Don’t blog to become famous, there has to be passion for whatever you do!
