#StayHome Series: 5 Fun Things for NAIL NERDS
Hi, Polished People! I figure we could all use a little entertainment right now, so I'm sharing five ideas for nail nerds to enjoy while we're all staying safe at home. As DIY nail artists, a lot of what we do tends to happen at home, but still. It's always nice to have some pinpointed ideas. Plus, I wanted to make these a little more "not obvious" than the usual "do your nails" suggestions. Read on to learn more...
#1 Learn a new nail art technique
Haven't had time to learn the water marble technique? Water spotting? Gradient? You can find tutorials all over the internet for these fun techniques, so try one and practice!
#2 Start a nail art Instagram account
If you've been doing your nails for a while, start a nail art Instagram account! There's such a wonderful nail art community on this app, and now is a great time to join. Even if you don't post nail pics right away, you can find so many nail art/polish accounts to be inspired by.
#3 Catch up on your favorite nail YouTubers
We all have our favorite nail art/polish YouTubers, so now is a great time to binge some videos. Some of my longtime favorites are CutePolish, Nailbees, bonitajuanita, Elizabeth Anne, HannahRoxNails, JauntyJuli, and jessFACE90. What are some of your favorites? Comment below! BTW, if you didn't know, I actually have my own YouTube channel! Here's the link if you'd like to check it out: youtube.com/threesixtynails.
#4 Organize your nail polish collection
Big or small, every nail polish collection could always use a little organization. I know I plan on re-organizing mine a little bit in the near future! This is a great activity to keep yourself busy with. You can organize by brand, color, finish, etc. You can get really creative with this project.
#5 Join a nail art collaboration on Instagram
I always enjoy participating in these! Basically, someone hosts the collab, usually sets a theme, then all the participants create a nail design, then the host makes a collab and everyone posts it. It's really fun and a great way to come together as a community. I actually plan on hosting one very soon since everyone could use something to do, so stay tuned over on my Instagram @threesixtynails!
I hope you found something fun to do in this list of ideas. Do you have any other suggestions? Join the discussion in the comments below! I'll be adding many more posts to this series, one for beauty enthusiasts, business owners, bloggers, and more, so keep your eyes out for those. Be sure you sign up for my mailing list so you don't miss those! Stay safe and healthy, everyone. Be well!
Have a polished rest of your day,
