Spending 2 Years a Blogger // Plans for my Blog
I just realized that today was my blogiversary! Thank you guys for another amazing year! :) I remember the very first blog post I created on this blog...
I started this website first and foremost as a blog. A couple years ago, as I've mentioned before, I had been collaborating with a business to host a blog, but it was a simple one in a Google Doc to share with friends. I was so excited when I discovered that I could create my own website and share a much better quality blog with other nail enthusiasts! It was a pretty painful process to get through the learning curve of web design, but now that I've gotten the hang of it, it's one of my very-favorite things to do. I love the creativity behind it and seeing a finished website that looks polished and professional.
I've always enjoyed writing and sharing my writing through articles and blog posts. Since I started my Nail Candy blog back in 2015, I've loved being a blogger. I really enjoy reviewing products and teaching people how to re-create nail designs I've come up with. I'm also very proud of how far I've come since when I first started doing nail art. I started out watching cutepolish tutorials, and re-creating Sandi's awesome designs. For the first several months, maybe even the first year, it was almost unimaginable to think that I could come up with my own nail designs. I tried, but with limited practice, it was pretty hard. However, once I started practicing more often and putting my own twist on designs I would re-create, it gradually got easier.
If you're going to start nail art, that's my advice; even though it's so cliché, it's very true: practice, practice, practice. I've been doing my own nails for a little under three years, and the more you paint your nails and flex your creative muscles, the better you'll be at all the things from not flooding your cuticles to coming up with unique designs.
As always, thank you so much for all your support! Be sure, if you haven't already, that you subscribe to my blog so you never miss new posts like this!
The first design I created for this blog were my adorable hedgehog nails and you can see those in my Instagram Story right now! While we're at it, what type of blog posts would you like to see? Nail art tutorials? Lifestyle? Nail care? Let me know in the comments or send me an email! You can also DM me on Instagram or answer the poll in my Story.
In 2019, I'm going to try to include more lifestyle posts and reviews here on the blog and I'm looking forward to it! See you soon and I hope your year is going great. Have a polished rest of your day! :)
BTW, check out Amazon Business! Great for salon owners and nail techs!
