Polish Pick: "Royal Pain in the Ascot" from the Street Regal Fall 2017 Collection by China Glaze ~ Thank you for 1,400 on Instagram!!
Good morning, everyone! I'm starting a new series that I've wanted to do for a while now: Polish Pick! This is not a "polish of the week/month" series, but a series of polish spotlights that I want to share because I adore them. Let's get into it...
So, today's color is called "Royal Pain in the Ascot" (very funny name! βΊ) and it is from the gorgeous Street Regal Collection for Fall 2017 by China Glaze. I realized that I didn't have that many darker colors in my collection, so I've been stocking up on those for the season. I spotted this one and I knew it would be the perfect shade for me. One of my favorite colors/color schemes, actually, is burgundy and dark red, so this one, with its dark base and red metallic shimmer, is just beautiful.
Metallics, notoriously, can be brushstroke-y and not appealing, but this one is magical. First, this polish is so dark and shimmery, the brushstrokes are undetectable! Second, this polish is COMPLETELY OPAQUE in ONE COAT. I can't see you ever needing more than two coats, unless your nails are very long. This has a great formula and I haven't seen much staining from it. Here's a quick rating system (1 to 5) for your reference:
Formula: 5
Price: (this was on sale for about $5 when I got it; normal price is about $7 or $8) 5
Opacity: 5
Uniqueness: 4.5
If you're interested, "Royal Pain in the Ascot" is available in the Nail Mall (powered by Amazon.com) HERE. I highly recommend you check out this polish for the Fall! Comment below if you adore this polish, too, and/or what polishes you'd like to see spotlighted in the future!
