3 LAST MINUTE 4th of July Manicures!~ Step-by-Step ~ Great for Beginners/Intermediates!
Good morning, guys! Didn't have time to spruce up your nails for 4th of July, or ran out of inspiration for a red-white-and-blue mani? Never fear! I've got three last minute 4th of July manicures for you to create. Also, if you're in another country, you can change these colors up to match your own colors and such. So, no dilly dallying--let's begin!
This first design is a patriotic red-white-and-blue gradient with some holo sparkle. See below for the step-by-step and list of polishes and I tools you'll need/I used. Enjoy!
Polishes/Tools used for this design:
"Snow Me White" - Sinful Colors
"Champagne for Breakfast" - OPI
(optional) Scotch Tape, Liquid Latex, or Liquid Latex Substitute
Step 1:
After base coat, apply a coat or two of white nail polish; let dry completely, 5-15 minutes.
Step 2:
Grab a makeup sponge and your favorite red, white, and blue polishes and create stripes of each color, just slightly overlapping each other.
Step 3:
Sponge these colors over your nails (after optionally guarding your cuticles and skin with liquid latex or a substitute barrier) two to four times depending on color opacity; let dry 1-3 minutes between coats, 2-5 minutes completely.
Step 4:
Now find a holographic glitter or glitter topper (or even some stars or other silver glitter you like) and add it over your gradient; let dry 1-6 minutes.
Step 5:
Apply a fast-drying top coat to protect your pretty mani!
Pretty easy, right?! This one is so glam! Next up is a cute fireworks mani for those of you who are up for some simple hand painting. Enjoy!
Polishes/Tools used for this mani:
"Where's the Party Canon At?" - China Glaze x My Little Pony
"I Sea Ponies" - China Glaze x My Little Pony
"Courtney Orange" - Sinful Colors
Detailing Nail Art Brush or Toothpick
Step 1:
After base coat, apply a coat or two of dark blue or black polish.
Step 2:
Grab some polishes that remind you of firework colors and create lines that curve out in a sort-of-spiral, leaving some space in the middle to look more realistic.
Step 3:
Add some extra glitter if you like!
Step 4:
After letting dry for 2-5 minutes, apply a fast-drying top coat to keep your mani safe.
So sparkly! Now onto the final mani which is great if you're looking for a low-maintenance nail look that's still super glitzy for Independence Day. Enjoy!
Polishes/Tools used for this design:
"Snow Me White" - Sinful Colors
(optional) Detailing Nail Art Brush or Toothpick
Step 1:
After base coat, apply a blue polish to your middle finger, silver/silver glitter/ holographic silver glitter to your ring finger, and white (or red if you're skipping the next step) to your pointer finger, pinky finger, and thumb; let dry 2-4 minutes between coats, and 3-8 minutes completely.
(only if you painted your nails white) Step 2:
Grab a detailing brush or a toothpick and red polish. Now create some red stripes across your white nails. These don't have to be perfect--we're going for a distressed/abstract look here.
Step 3:
Apply a fast-drying top coat to all your nails to keep your pretty flags safe!
This mani is great because, if you're not into hand painting, you can have some patriotic glam, or if you like some hand painting you can add the stripes. Totally custom!
