Happy Launch Day! + ADORABLE Launch Day Nail Art!

Good morning, everyone! Happy launch day! Having my own nail art blog is such a huge dream come true, so thank you to all who made it possible! Before we begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Cali, and I have been creating nail art for a little over a year now. Aside from nail art, I love to Rainbow Loom, write, go to the movies, and two of my favorite foods are bagels and brownies. I also love cute and adorable things!

On threesixtynails, you’ll be able to find awesome posts just like this, overflowing with step-by-steps, videos, tutorials, drawing guides, picture guides, pictorials, and more for a fun variety of nail art and manis. The designs will range from easy to advanced, and they’re great for DIY artists or those who work in salons.

The posts will also ALWAYS include a polishes/tools list where you can find Amazon links to tremendous nail polishes and nail art/mani tools that I used in my design. There will also be Products of the Week posts with even more awesome polishes and tools! As a nail artist, I know how difficult it can be to find quality products for this activity, so this is the perfect one-stop shop if you’re a nail artist, manicurist, or just a fan of nail designs!

I had originally created a nail art blog in a Google Doc, in partnership with a small business, sharing it with subscribers and friends, but I wanted to go live with it so that I can share this passion with even more people and make great nail art lessons available to those who might be having trouble finding them. (P.S. If you were one of my “Nail Candy” subscribers, that blog will still be available to read, but I will no longer be posting there. Many of those posts will be going up here as well, and there’s always going to be lots of future fun!)

Today, I’ve got a super-cute nail design to kick off the blog:

… Adorable Hedgehog Nail Art!!! This design is really easy and really cute! Today, I have for you a polishes/tools list (soon with amazing Amazon links) and a drawing guide for the hedgehog design. Enjoy!

Polishes/Tools used in this design:

Seche Clear: Crystal Clear Basecoat

Formula X Polish: Radical (light pink/lavender) *This polish seemed to be unavailable on Amazon, so I found a close second OPI color that I think is really pretty! When the link brings up all of the colors, find the shade called “Mod About You”.

Sinful Colors Polish: Pink smart (adorable bright light-pink) *This one also felt like playing hide and seek. This time, when all of the OPIs come up, find the shade “I Think in Pink”.

Sinful Colors Polish: Easy Going (opaque nude)

wet n wild wildshine Polish: Black Creme (creamy black) *If you don’t use black very much, and only use it for detailing one, a simple tip is to just get an inexpensive one. This link is to a Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polish.

Covergirl Polish: Nemesis (dark maroon/red)

Formula X Polish: Electri-city (sparkly bronzy maroon)

Formula X Polish: X Appeal (sheer shimmery, sparkly pink-gold)

OPI Polish: Alpine Snow (white) *When the OPI polishes come up, find the shade “Alpine Snow”.

Seche Vite: Dry Fast Topcoat

(design tools)

Essence: Duo Stylist (dotting tool) *Or a toothpick

Winning Nails: Nail Art Brush (tiny/detailing size) *For some reason, the detailing size was unavailable; but knowing how much I love the detailing brush, the striper will be amazing, too, especially for this design!

Polish Palette *Or a flipped-over nail wheel

I know, it seems like there’s a lot of polishes on here, but a lot of them were used for small details of the hedgehog, like the eyes and quills. These polishes are some of my favorites, and the tools are great too! This design is relatively easy to create on both hands, especially if you’ve been perfecting or have mastered the slightly ambidextrous art of opposite-hand-painting, LOL, but if not, you can always create extra hedgehog decals on a plastic freezer bag or silicon nail art mat. And here’s the drawing guide!

Since today was just an introductory post, I wanted to announce that I’m doing something really fun to kick off threesixtynails: the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge!!!! I learned about this fun challenge via Chalkboard Nails (great blog!), hosted by Sarah Waite, and I was so excited to give it a go. I participated in this challenge in November on my old blog, and I wanted to share the fun with all of you now! This means that in honor of threesixtynails launch, there will be A NEW POST EVERY DAY FOR 31 DAYS STRAIGHT!!!!!! How awesome!!😄 I had so much fun participating in this challenge, so I’ll bring you highlights and lists and links and pics and endless fun for 31 days! Hurray!

To read more about threesixtynails, go ^up there^ to the About tab! You’ll be able to find Amazon shopping links in the Nail Shop tab as well and new products are added twice a week! And don’t forget to follow threesixtynails on Instagram (link at the very bottom of the page) so you don’t miss all the fun over there! I’m so excited for this blog and I can’t wait to start the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge posts!!!! See you all very soon, well, as in… tomorrow! Bye!
